On June 26, Xiaomi launched the YU7, its first mid-size electric SUV. The high-end YU7 MAX model sets a new benchmark for intelligent mobility, coming standard with the new-generation electrochromic smart dimming sunroof developed by Ambilight, an industry leader in flexible electrochromic technologies.

We’re happy to share that Ambilight’s Electrochromic (EC) Smart Dimming Sunroof has been honored the Silver award at the un Design Award for its cutting-edge product design concept and high performance.

In May 2025 alone, Ambilight Technology delivered 10,000 EC smart dimming units for vehicles, setting a new global record for monthly production in the smart dimming industry.

Ambilight is pioneering advancements in electrochromic (EC) technology, setting new industry standards in smart dimming solutions. As the world’s only company capable of mass-producing black EC dimming products, our first-generation solution launched in 2024 has already been adopted by leading vehicle models, including the NIO ET5T and EC6.
